IoT devices and security

Before an end device can communicate on a LoRaWAN® network, it must be activated. This procedure generates root keys which are stored in the end device and are used to generate dynamic session keys used to communicate over the network.

In this lesson, we review LoRaWAN Activation (Join) methods and discuss how LoRaWAN messages are secured.
