Create Snapshot Image in Auto Mode
Last modified by Microchip on 2026/08/17 10:50
Boot and Enter Restore Mode
Power on the system to start the boot process. When prompted, enter the root password to log in as the root user.
To enter Backup mode, run the following command:
# echo mem>/sys/power/state
The system then enters RESTORE mode.
Exit RESTORE and Save Snapshot Image
The system automatically asserts a CPU reset and the Read-Only Memory (ROM) boot sequence starts.
During this process:
at91bootstrap exits Double Data Rate (DDR) self-refresh
at91bootstrap analyzes memory maps and saves only the valid Dynamic Random-Access Memory (DRAM) contents as snapshot image
Saving a snapshot image to the SD™ card takes a few seconds.
