If you are looking for a quick, easy and reliable solution to add capacitive touch sensing capability to your design, our turnkey capacitive touch controllers provide a simple and straightforward pathway for implementing touch in your user interface. These devices communicate with the host via GPIO or the standard I2C, SPI, and USB serial interfaces. You don’t need any programming experience to get them working. Simply connect the sensor and apply power. Use the simple Graphical User Interface (GUI)-based configuration tool to tune the controller and monitor the touch signals.

Microchip offers three families of stand-alone capacitive touch controllers with options that support up to 64 buttons, water-tolerant touch and EN/IEC 60730 requirements for Class B safety.
