This page connects you with all the information you need to evaluate and design with Microchip's 32-bit SAML family of microcontrollers.

Family Overview

SAML10The SAML10 microcontroller family has ultra-low power with a 12-bit ADC, analog comparators, a Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC), a true random number generator, and tamper detection. SAML10 runs at 32 MHz, consumes under 25 µA/MHz in active mode and 100 nA in sleep mode and features op-amps and a 10-bit DAC.
- Arm® Cortex® M23 core @ 32 MHz
- Low power
SAML11The SAML11 family builds on the SAML10 with extra security features: crypto engine (AES-128, SHA-256, and GCM), Arm TrustZone®, secure boot, an additional Memory Protection Unit, data scrambling in Data Flash.
- Arm® Cortex® M23 core @ 32 MHz
- Low power
- Security
SAML21SAML21 is an ultra-low power family with a 12-bit ADC, analog comparators, Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC), and security functions (AES and true random number generator). It runs at 48 MHz, consumes under 35 µA/MHz in active mode and 200 nA in sleep mode, and features op-amps, full-speed USB Host and Device, and a 12-bit DAC.
- Arm® Cortex® M0+ core @ 48 MHz
- Low power and USB
SAML22SAML22 is similar to the SAML21 but runs at 32 MHz, comes with a segmented LCD controller (up to 320 segments), full speed USB Device, and has 100-pin options.
- Arm® Cortex® M0+ core @ 32 MHz
- Low power and USB
- Segmented LCD controller
