The Editor category, found under Options > Tools > Editor, contains global configuration settings for all editor features and functions. The settings are separated into six tabbed pages:
General - is where you can select the web browser, proxy settings, and if you want MPLAB® X Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to send usage data to Netbeans®.
Formatting - controls the editor's automatic code formatting feature
Code Completion - makes suggestions and provides hints. In a general sense, code completion is very useful when you want to fill in the missing code, look at the options available in the context of your application, and generate blocks of code when needed.
