 Micro-USB cable or power adapter for SAME54 Curiosity Ultra Development Board

Hardware Setup

Refer to the instructions for connecting the display to the SAME54 Curiosity Ultra Development Board based on the display interface.

4-Line SPI Interface

Set the IM switches on the back of the maXTouch Curiosity Pro display to IM[2:0] = 111b for 4W Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) mode.

Use the 20-pin flat cable to connect the J3 port on the maXTouch Curiosity Pro display to the EXT port on the SAME54 Curiosity Ultra Development Board.

Note: In some older units of the maXTouch Curiosity Pro (AC320007), the R9 resistor will need to be removed for the 4-wire SPI mode to work. Please check if the R9 resistor (see accompanying image) is populated and remove it for 4-wire SPI mode.

8-bit Parallel 8080

Set the IM switches on the back of the maXTouch Curiosity Pro display to IM[2:0] = 011b for 8-bit MCU mode.

Attach the 24-bit passthrough card to the GFX Connector (J1000) on the SAME54 Curiosity Ultra Development board.

Set the S1 switch on the 24-bit passthrough card to 2.

Connect the ribbon cable from the J2 connector on maXTouch Curiosity Pro Display to the ribbon connector on the 24-bit pass-through card.
