SAM-BA® In-System Programmer Supported Devices and Evaluation Kits

Introduction

The following devices and evaluation kits are supported by the SAM-BA® In-system Programmer (ISP).

The SAM-BA ISP is a set of software programs that provide utility functions and in-system read, write, execute and verification of internal and external memories of Microchip Technology’s Arm®-based MPUs and MCUs.

Note: The following listing of devices and boards is supported by SAM-BA version 3.3.x.

Device -d, --device Option

The -d, --device option configures the SAM-BA Host to the target device.

The list of supported devices can be displayed using the help argument:

sam-ba -p serial -d help
Known devices: sam9x60, sam9xx5, sama5d2, sama5d3, sama5d4,and samv7

Board -b, --board Option

The -b, --board option configures the SAM-BA Host to the target evaluation kit (also known as the board). It can be used in place of the -d, --deviceoption.

The -b, --board option extends the -d, --device option with the configuration and settings of the evaluation kit such as the console instance/ioset and memory controllers instance/ioset.

The list of supported boards (evaluation kits) can be displayed using the help argument:

sam-ba -p serial -d help
