What problem does MPLAB® Analog Designer (MAD) solve?

MAD simplifies finding both the part and circuit solution based on a set of user input operating parameters.

Why Use MAD?

It is an easy-to-use selection and design tool for those unfamiliar with the Microchip analog product line and offers a more efficient design experience for experienced users.

  1. MAD will allow you to quickly select the part that best fits your requirements from a wide range of available devices.
  2. You will be able to easily select an initial set of discrete component values that work with the part to provide a complete solution. 
  3. With the initial component selection complete, you will be able to download a simulation model schematic that uses these component values. No manual selection or entering of component values is required, which speeds up design time.
  4. Analog power supplies are configured using discrete passive components. These component values must be calculated using datasheet equations, which is time-consuming. MAD automatically calculates the necessary component values for your design requirements. These calculated values are then automatically transferred to an MPLAB Mindi™ Analog Simulator schematic for simulation. Output filter inductor and capacitor calculations can be time-consuming. MAD provides a complete set of recommended values instantly.
