MPLAB® IPE Blank Check

The MPLAB® Integrated Programming Environment (IPE) Blank Check feature allows you to check if the target device's programming memory contains any code or not (i.e., whether the device is blank or not).

After MPLAB IPE is launched, connect MPLAB IPE to the tool and target device. Click Blank Check, which is located at the far right-hand side of the MPLAB IPE window, below the Results window. See the accompanying image.

If the device's program memory is not blank, the MPLAB IPE Output window will show the message in the accompanying image.

The Alt+F9 short-cut key combination is available to perform Blank Check operations.
