OptoLyzer® Studio Tutorial for MOST® Technology
Abstract
Welcome to the OptoLyzer® Studio tutorial for MOST® technology. This tutorial will briefly introduce you to K2L's state-of-the art analysis and development toolset showing how to use the GUI of OptoLyzer Studio.
Quick Start Guide
Will show you step-by-step how to use OptoLyzer Studio without having any prior experience with the tool. Only the basics are covered, such as starting the tool for simple recording and how to store the captured data.
How to Simply Log Messages in Your Network>>path:javascript
Connect the MOCCA to your network, either on your test bench or in the test car.
Connect the MOCCA to your PC.
Start OptoLyzer Studio.
Click on Start on the home ribbon to start logging messages.

Click on Stop when you want to stop logging messages.

Close OptoLyzer Studio if you don't want to look at the messages now.
When asked, save the Log-file for further analysis. You can save the New Workspace, however, it does not yet contain more information. If not needed, you can discard the workspace.

For viewing a pre-recorded Log-file, you can double-click on it to open it in OptoLyzer Studio.

Recording a Log File>>path:javascript
If you just want to quickly log or record network traffic into a file without watching it, follow these steps:
Go to File > Options > Recorder.

Specify the path where the new Log-files will be stored.

On the home ribbon, click on Record.

Click on Stop when you want to stop recording messages. The Log-file has been saved.

In case you want to look at a recorded message immediately after recording, click a link under Session File.

Close OptoLyzer Studio if you don't want to look at the messages now.

How To Save Changes>>path:javascript
If you have changed or added something to your configuration, each element needs to be saved separately. An asterisk at the end of an element's name denotes an unsaved change.
Click into the Workspace View to activate it, if you have changed your workspace, e.g., by adding Catalogs, or by adding Filter/Activity/Log-files.

Then save the changes to the workspace.

Click into the Quick Filters View to activate it. If you made changes, save the changes as in step 2.
