Configuring Device Registers in the Energy Management Utility

The Energy Management Utility software allows you to view, read, change or write register values.

Reading Register Values

Open the register dialog window by clicking the Edit Registers button.

Click the Update button to read the register settings. The registers will be automatically read from the device.

The device registers are only allowed to be changed while the device is NOT collecting data samples (the Start button has been pressed). The registers can be accessed by clicking on the Edit Registers button. While the data sampling is taking place, the registers can only be viewed and cannot be changed.

Writing New Register Values

Open the register window by clicking the Edit Registers button.

Change the register value. The new value is written to the board immediately.

Read the register values by clicking the Update button to make sure your new register value was set correctly.
